ALRV promises further support
Kentucky Horse Park is organiser of the FEI World Equestrian Games
2010
The
FEI World Equestrian Games (WEG), World Championships in seven horse
sport disciplines in 2010 will be carried out in Kentucky (USA).
This decision was announced yesterday by the Bureau of the International
Equestrian Federation (FEI).
"We sincerely congratulate Kentucky", said Klaus Pavel,
President of the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e.V. (ALRV). The
ALRV is the organiser of next year's equestrian World Championships
(August 20 until September 3, 2006). "We fully agree with the
FEI that Kentucky will arrange wonderful Games."
The ALRV has been in close contact with Kentucky Horse Park as
the organiser of the WEG 2010 for quite some time. Frank Kemperman,
Show Director of the FEI WEG Aachen 2006, said: "Of course
we will intensify the existing contact. It is self-evident that
we will support Kentucky and are keen to do everything to make also
the WEG 2010 a great success.
The venue of the WEG 2010 will already be integrated into the FEI
World Equestrian Games Aachen 2006. However, Kemperman still kept
secret how exactly this is going to happen. But one thing can be
taken for granted: The FEI-flag will be handed over ceremonially
to Kentucky.
