For the start of the FEI WEG on August 19th, 2006
When over 800 sportsmen and women, 500,000 visitors and 1,500 journalists
from all over the world pour into Aachen, the aktuelle sportstudio
can't possibly be missing: During the FEI World Equestrian Games
Aachen 2006, which is being held in Germany for the first time from
August 20th - September 3rd, ZDF is going to be live on location
with its cult programme. On Saturday, August 19th, the aktuelle
sportstudio will be reporting live between 10. p.m. and 11.15 p.m.
from the Deutsche Bank Stadium in Aachen on the kick-off of the
World Championships. "We are delighted to have such a famous
sports programme as our live guests. This is further proof that
the World Equestrian Games are of enormous significance for both
German and international sport," says Michael Mronz, member
and spokesman of the WEG OC. Tickets for the programme are available
at a price of five Euros from the telephone hotline of the Aachen-Laurensberger
Rennverein (ALRV) on +49-(0)241-917-1111. The entire proceeds
of the entrance tickets will be donated to therapeutic riding.
The FEI World Equestrian Games in seven disciplines - show-jumping,
dressage, eventing, driving, endurance, vaulting and reining - is
the second largest sporting event in Germany this decade. TV coverage
will be broadcast worldwide in over 140 countries.
