Riders and Alemannia Aachen guests in the "aktuellen sportstudio"
- ZDF broadcasting live from the FEI World Equestrian Games - tickets
still available
Advanced sales began a few days ago and the demand for "aktuelle
sportstudio" tickets is high, because the ZDF is broadcasting
live from the show grounds in Aachen on Saturday, August 19th, to
mark the opening of the FEI World Equestrian Games. This is the
second largest sporting event that Germany will experience this
decade and it will attract over 800 sportsmen and women in seven
disciplines and 500,000 visitors from all over the world to the
Soers in Aachen from August 20th - September 3rd.
When the programme begins in the Deutsche Bank Stadium at 10 p.m.
not only the equestrian athletes are going to be there, but also
the football / soccer players of Alemannia Aachen - just a few hours
before the first home game of the black and yellow team that has
been playing in division one for around 36 years. Tickets for the
programme can be ordered from the telephone hotline on +49-(0)241-917-1111
for the price of 5 Euros and will also be available from the Alemannia
fan shop from Friday onwards. "We are delighted that we are
able to jointly celebrate the opening of the FEI World Equestrian
Games and Alemannia's home debut against Schalke," says Michael
Mronz, spokesman and member of the WEG OC. "This is an important
day for the region, but also for the fans throughout Germany."
Alemannia Aachen's entire team and squad of trainers are intending
to pay a visit to the WEG and the "aktuellen sportstudio",
according to Alemannia Manager, Jörg Schmadtke, "regardless
of who the actual official studio guests are going to be. We namely
enjoy very good relations with our neighbours at the ALRV."
After all, the new Alemannia stadium is going to be erected right
next to the show grounds of the WEG organisers, the Aachen-Laurensberger
Rennverein (ALRV), and the clubs are planning a joint Soers Sports
Park. First class equestrian sport and first class football in Aachen
just a stone's throw away from each other.
