Gert Schrijvers best driver in the dressage today
With a score of 46.21 (minus) points, the Belgian driver, Gert
Schrijvers, took the lead after the first day of the Four-in-Hand
Dressage, the Prize of the District of Aachen. The eight-time Belgian
Champion, whose horses are Arabian/Friesian crossbreds, narrowly
beat the German driver, Christoph Sandmann, who ranks second. The
Vice-World Champion of 2002 achieved a score of 46.59 points with
his team of horses. There is large gap between Sandmann and third
place, which is occupied by Jan Erik Palsson from Sweden (53.50).
The second part of the dressage begins at 9 a.m. on Thursday. Once
the competition has finished, we will know which team will enter
the Marathon course on Friday with the best dressage result.
